Robin Williams Set to Make Law & Order Less Funny

Either Robin Williams is a huge fan of Law & Order: SUV or his career is fast approaching an end. Personally, I hope this represents the end, as I don't think Robin has managed to get a laugh out of me since he played Mork and I was too young to know better.

A spokesman for Law & Order, Pam Golum, has announced that Mr. Williams will appear on the April 29th episode, playing the role of "an engineer whose life has gone terribly wrong." Oooh, the dramatic Robin Williams, which is ever worse than the supposedly funny version.

That's a bit harsh. Robin Williams has amused me many times over the years, and he does "creepy guy" roles very well. I'll give "Law and Order" a look just because he'll be on it.

I agree... Williams has proven his dramatic acting prowess over and over again (Good Will Hunting, One Hour Photo) and I loved watching him in a creepy role last night. Coupled with great writing and some plot twists that surprised me, last night's show did not disappoint true fans of both L&O/SVU or Williams.
